Short Bio:
President, Chairman of the Board of Directors at the association Trento RISE (). Prof. Fausto Giunchiglia is full professor at the University of Trento and has been head of the Department of Information and Communication Technology, Vice-Rector of the University of Trento and also head of the Automated Reasoning Systems division in ITC-IRST. He has obtained his PhD in computer engineering from the University of Genoa in 1987. Prof. Fausto Giunchiglia has held various research positions at the University of Genoa, Stanford University, ITC-IRST and the University of Edinburgh. His recent areas of interest are the use of semantics for managing knowledge diversity in the large and social computations, namely how to study and exploit the impact of technology, and computer science in particular, on organizations, people and society, towards the construction of a better society.
