IBM Technical Computing Software Engineer
Location: Beijing
IBM Technical Computing is a family of systems software that aids in Cloud, Big Data & Analytics and High Performance Computing (HPC), including computationally and data-intensive design, manufacturing, financial analytics, and business, research applications. More than 2,500 clients including 23 of the top 30 largest global enterprises, use Technical Computing solutions. Due to continuous revenue/profit growth and competitive enhancements of our products in the past few years and outstanding 2014, along with excellent Technical Support, we foresee continued growth excellence in future.
Cloud, Big data & Analytics and HPC are most popular IT technologies in recent years, and will be key technologies in the coming decades in IT area. They are also highest revenue growth area in IBM and being continuously heavily invested by IBM. As the development and service center of IBM Technical Computing, we will be participating in end to end development including:

Function specification, design and implementation

Product maintenance and enhancements.

Function, performance, scalability and stress tests

Project management

Customer management and service
Requirements:

Self-motivation and the ability to learn fast

Excellent communication skills and team spirit

Fluent oral and written English

Ph.D, Master's or bachelor's degree, majoring in computer science or equivalent

Good Windows and/or UNIX/Linux system development and computer network knowledge is highly desired

Skills in at least one of the programming languages(C/C++, JAVA, Perl)

Strong problem-solving & trouble-shooting skills.

Distributed system programming knowledge is a plus

Skills in Java based web development is a plus

Understanding of Hadoop and Map/Reduce is a plus
